Syler Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team! Since 1963, Syler Veterinary Clinic has been proud to serve Athens, Palestine, Cedar Creek Lake, Murchison, and surrounding areas. The team provides the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service.

We are a small animal veterinary clinic that primarily treats cats and dogs, but we do see the occasional pocket pet. We’re a thriving single-doctor practice that is excited to welcome a passionate veterinarian to our team.

Our Medical Director, Dr. Syler, has over 30 years of clinical experience and is an eager mentor in both medicine and surgery. This is the perfect opportunity for either a new grad or an experienced veterinarian who wants to work with a passionate team of veterinary professionals.

Our compensation and benefits package is very competitive:

• Competitive salary – Straight salary or base plus production structure without negative accrual. Compensation will be reviewed at least annually to ensure that appropriate adjustments are made to base compensation to reflect any increases in productivity.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree & license
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations, and health checks on animals
• Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g., X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
• Problem-solving skills
